Geospatial Data IntegrationProject Summary
Sproutt was engaged by ECH to support their upcoming gutter cleaning procurement process by providing accurate measurements of roof gutters across 115 village locations. The sites required consistent, reviewable data to enable more accurate contractor quotations and support tender documentation, while also laying the foundation for improved spatial asset intelligence across the organisation.
Our Approach
Using high-resolution aerial imagery, Sproutt measured gutter lengths across the sites. Each measurement set was delivered in tabular format and accompanied by A4 site maps, allowing ECH to validate or adjust quantities as needed. This method created a reliable, scalable, and digitally accessible dataset that significantly reduced the need for manual onsite measurements and supported streamlined procurement workflows.
Outcomes
Sproutt’s aerial imagery-based gutter measurements provided ECH with consistent, accurate data to inform their procurement process. This approach not only reduced manual effort and improved documentation quality, but also demonstrated how spatial data and digital tools can enhance broader asset management capabilities. The comprehensive dataset supports ongoing maintenance planning, improves cost estimation accuracy, and fosters digital transformation by enabling data-driven decision-making across the organisation.
