Condition Assessment, Reporting, Asset ManagementProject Summary
Sproutt was engaged by the City of Mount Gambier to undertake a comprehensive building condition assessment across twelve council-owned buildings, spanning six key community sites. The objective of this work was to inform long-term asset maintenance, renewal planning, and financial forecasting by developing a structured asset register, identifying component-level condition, and generating short- and long-term capital works programs aligned with the Council’s Long-Term Financial Plan.
Our Approach
Sproutt delivered detailed, non-destructive, visual inspections across all structural, mechanical, electrical, and fit-out elements, ensuring all data aligned with IPWEA Practice Note 3, NCC requirements, and AASB financial reporting standards. Our condition data was structured for seamless integration with the Council’s Asset Management System, supporting both immediate decision-making and long-term strategic planning through a five-year capital renewal program and twenty-year forecast.
Outcomes
Sproutt’s thorough inspections and valuations have equipped the City of Mount Gambier with a detailed understanding of their council-owned buildings’ condition and renewal needs. The resulting asset register and maintenance programs will guide the Council’s long-term financial planning, ensuring sustained community investment in these important facilities. This work enhances the Council’s ability to plan proactively and allocate resources effectively.
