Project Summary

Sproutt was commissioned by a private developer to deliver the civil, stormwater, and landscape design for the Business Precinct within the City of Playford, a 41-allotment commercial industrial development. Their design scope encompassed detailed internal road drainage and water quality management aligned with EPA SA guidelines, as well as civil works, landscape plans, and on-site construction support. Beyond design, Sproutt provided end-to-end project management, overseeing development approvals, stakeholder engagement, and coordination of all consultants. We supported feasibility studies and financing efforts, prepared construction tender documentation, and managed both the tender process and the appointed contractor throughout the build, ensuring delivery from concept to completion.

Our Approach

Our approach was a fully integrated design and project management strategy tailored to a large-scale commercial industrial development. On the design front, we provided comprehensive civil, stormwater, and landscape solutions that aligned with regulatory and council guidelines, employing detailed drainage planning, water quality compliance, earthworks modelling, and aesthetic landscape outcomes. In parallel, we implemented proactive project management, overseeing everything from development approvals and stakeholder engagement to financial feasibility and construction coordination. By managing all consultants, preparing tender documentation, and guiding the build from start to finish, their approach ensured seamless delivery with minimal friction across technical, administrative, and construction phases.

Outcomes

Sproutt delivered a comprehensive design and project management solution for the Business Park. This project fostered a strong, collaborative relationship throughout the project. By taking on both technical and managerial responsibilities, we acted as a central point of coordination, building trust with the client, Council, and contractors alike. Our engagement in stakeholder liaison, approvals, and consultant management created a consistent line of communication that encouraged transparency and shared ownership of outcomes. This relationship-driven approach strengthened project cohesion and positioned Sproutt as a long-term partner in the development's success.
