Sproutt was engaged by the City of Adelaide to deliver a spatially enabled condition assessment of the Council’s Public Lighting and Luminaire asset network. This project aimed to inform the City’s ongoing asset audits, supporting capital works and maintenance planning through the integration of high-quality asset data into the Council’s Asset Management System (Assetic).
Our Approach
Sproutt developed a custom spatial data collection tool to ensure accurate, map-based capture of the asset condition, aligned with the Council’s requirements and internal GIS systems. The project also involved preparation of a summary methodology report, with condition and defect data used to feed into predictive modelling for long-term asset planning.
Outcomes
The spatially enabled condition assessment delivered by Sproutt has provided the City of Adelaide with accurate, reliable data on their public lighting assets. This enhanced dataset supports more effective capital and maintenance planning, enabling the Council to prioritise works and optimise asset life cycles. The integration with the Council’s Asset Management System has improved decision-making capabilities and set a new standard for data-driven infrastructure management.
