Detailed DesignProject Summary
Sproutt was engaged by the City of Tea Tree Gully to undertake the detailed civil design for streetscaping upgrades along North East Road. The design scope encompassed refinement of the Council’s landscape concept, targeted investigation and resolution of existing stormwater issues, and the design of accessible switchback and kerb ramps in line with DDA compliance requirements. Sproutt also prepared Traffic Impact Statements for submission to the Department for Infrastructure and Transport (DIT). With the design phase complete, the project progressed into construction.
Our Approach
Sproutt’s approach to the North East Road streetscape project reflected a hands-on, design-led methodology tailored to the unique requirements of urban beautification and accessibility. Guided by the Council’s vision, Sproutt translated the landscape concept into detailed civil documentation while resolving critical stormwater issues and ensuring DDA compliance through carefully designed switchback and kerb ramps. Proactive engagement with service authorities and stakeholders ensured timely responses and alignment with approval pathways. By integrating technical design with strategic coordination, including Traffic Impact Statements for DIT submission, Sproutt delivered a cohesive outcome and reinforced their role as a trusted partner in public domain enhancements.
Sproutt's traffic engineers ensured that the design met the requirements of the Australian Standards and was aligned with Austroads guidelines. We also prepared a Traffic Impact Statement for DIT approval.
