Kara is a highly experienced civil engineer with more than 25 years’ experience across consulting and local government.

Her background includes senior responsibility for asset management within a council environment, along with many years working alongside local government clients in consulting roles focused on water, wastewater and infrastructure planning. She also brings earlier experience in environmental engineering, including contaminated site investigation and remediation, which underpins her holistic approach to infrastructure decision-making.

Kara is known for her pragmatic and reliable approach, and her ability to work constructively with clients to achieve shared outcomes. Clients value her collaborative, down-to-earth style, while colleagues describe her as team-spirited, detail-focused and committed to delivering work properly. She enjoys working with people, building strong relationships, and contributing positively to project teams.

Kara finds the greatest satisfaction in bringing together data, technical inputs and broader considerations into clear, cohesive asset management plans and renewal strategies. At Sproutt, she has particularly enjoyed contributing to the Prospect Transport Asset Management Plan, helping define a clear improvement pathway for strengthening asset management processes.
