road & stormwater improvements

Alexandrina Council

Alexandrina Council identified 5 areas within the Council which were experiencing ongoing stormwater challenges. The project sites faced varying stormwater issues, from inundation of a residents yard, ponding and run-off degrading the road surface and nearby driveways. Each required an individual approach to assess properly and provide accurate design advice.

At project inception, Council provided their concept plans for the sites based on their observations during storm events. During the site visit and assisted by the survey Sproutt assessed the Concept Designs to ensure workability and provided feedback on where improvements could be made. The final project outputs required appropriate designs and documentation allowing the construction tender process to proceed with minimal changes required. This collaborative approach with Council meant that design solutions were provided that are appropriate, technically accurate and pragmatic for the end-user from project commencement.

Using the relevant South Australian standards, and noting areas located along DIT roads, we delivered a full set of construction drawings for each project. We have been available to answer contractor queries during construction and look forward to seeing the improved areas when construction is completed.
