safety analysis for the aldinga to willunga cycleway

Sproutt was engaged by the City of Onkaparinga to undertake safety analysis on various roads in the Aldinga / Willunga / Tatachilla areas. This was to assess safety and suitability for improved cyclist links between Aldinga and Willunga.

We completed desktop assessment of available data, assessment of the proposed cycleway against relevant standards, guidelines and best practice, site inspections and a risk assessment for each site considering the lateral proximity of moving vehicles to the location of cyclists. A combination of desktop and site investigations provided a balanced and rounded assessment.

Sproutt delivered a report detailing the findings of the investigation, a risk assessment for each road and design recommendations to lower the risks identified.
