building asset management plan

Berri Barmera Council

Berri Barmera Council engaged Sproutt to undertake the Building Asset Management Plan.  We utilised our template that aligns with the ISO 55000 standard providing a line of sight between Council’s strategic outcomes, asset management planning as well as the associated funding for these outcomes through the Long Term Financial Plan (LTFP).  This process supports the newly established ESCOSA and LGA requirements for assessment of rate increase and overall sustainability of Council.

A Building Asset Management Plan is integral to asset decision making as well as ongoing forecasting of works and budgets required to maintain assets at an agreed level of service. Rather than using the conventional NAMS template to create an AMP, Sproutt created an AMP that is modern, concise, easy to understand and pleasing to the eye.

We delivered a modern and easy to understand Buildings Asset Management Plan that:

  • Complies with the Local Government Act 1999 (the Act).

  • Aligns with ISO 5500 (International Standard for asset management) without seeking accreditation as an ISO document.

  • Aligns the delivery of asset management activities with Council’s goals and objectives.

  • Creates transparency and accountability through all aspects of asset management.
